This travel route is designed to educate people on the ethnic Hmong [Mong], their culture, language, and history. The travel route will be in Yunnan, Guizhou, and Hunan. We will see some of the most beautiful landscapes and many different groups of Mong in Southwest China. Their differences evolved due to migration, assimilation, and long time separations. We will have the opportunities to interact and have first hand experiences, not just with the Mong, but with Zhuang, Yi, Yao, Han nationality, and others.

Day 1: You will be greeted in Kunming and checked into a hotel.
Day 2: Leave early to MengZi to join the MengZi New Year celebration. If you can sing or have talents, Mong China would love to see them and hear your voice, so be prepared to shine. Also will see MengZi sceneries and visit a couple towns.
Day 3: Will travel to
Xinhua,
HePing,
BaiHe, and spend the night in Pingbian. At these places, you will see all the things you have been wondering how people in China live.
Day 4: Join the Pingbian New Year celebration and will watch bull fights (depend on their schedule). We will go to visit the tallest mountain in the area to see how Mong lives there. The mountain side is known to the locals as White Cliff ("Tsua Dlawb"). Find out why it is called such name.
Day 5: Leave early morning to Maguan, and will join Maguan New Year celebration (depend on their schedule). We will spend a night in Maguan.
Day 6: Visit sceneries around Maguan
(DuLong, and other villages), and leave to
Wengshan (Paaj Tawg Lag) in the afternoon. We will be having dinner with some local Mong at a Mong restaurant, and share life experiences between China and America. Spend a night in Wengshan.
Day 7: Spend half-day in Wengshan shopping and visiting the "Paaj TawgLag" Mong town. After lunch, we will leave back to Kunming and take the sleeper train to
Guiyang. We will sleep on the train to Guiyang, and will have the train-ride experience that many Chinese have.
Day 8: The bus will pickup us from the train station in Guiyang and head out to
Kaili. Visit Kaili and
Léi Shān (À×ɽ) areas (2 to 3 towns). At these towns, you will have the opportunity to buy "Miao" embroideries and other souvenirs. In the afternoon, we will leave for
TaiJiang, one of the largest Miao cities in Guizhou dwell by mostly the family name Tai. At Taijiang you will see the Zhang Xiu Mei statue. Will spend a night between Taijiang and HaiHua.
Day 9: Start the day by going into Hunnan
. You will get to climb the Southern Great Wall, which is south of Wu Lin ("Black Mountain"). The wall is also known as Ming Wall or Mong Wall. These areas were lived by Mong 500 to 700 years ago. We will spend a night at
FengHua, a Hunan ancient city. There, we will have a chance to do more shopping.
Day 10: At the ancient Miao Village
(Miao Zhai), we will have the opportunity to buy Hunnan Miao arts and crafts. After lunch, we will head back to Guizhou to spend the night there.
Day 11: Will visit the
Miao Lin (Mong Mountains) in Guizhou. We will see how those Mong live there. Will spend a night in Guiyang or nearby city.
Day 12: Travel northwestward to
Wu Mong Shan. These mountains used to be called Wu Mán (literally means Black "Maab" during ancient time), but after Mong came to dwell around it during several centuries ago, it slowly changed to be called Wu Mong Shan (Meng Shan).
Day 13: Will visit
Long Horn Miao in the morning. On our way back, we will visit one of the most beautiful water fall in China (HuangGuoShu). This is the only waterfall in the world that can be viewed from above, below, front, back, left and right.
Day Day 14: You will be dropped off at Kunming if needed and your traveling will end here.
